Russell A. Spatz started practice in 1975 as a prosecutor in the Miami Dade County State Attorney’s office. Mr. Spatz attained the position of Division Chief in that office under Richard E. Gerstein and thereafter Janet Reno (former United States Attorney General).
When Mr. Spatz left the SAO, Mrs. Reno wrote “I accept with regret your resignation, but I wish you must success and good fortune in your career in private practice.
You have demonstrated the best in prosecution as an Assistant State Attorney and we will miss you. On behalf of all the people in MDC, I thank you for your very dedicated public service.”
Mr. Spatz graduated the University of Miami with a Bachelor of Science with Departmental Honors in Mathematics and further received a National Science Foundation Fellowship for post graduate work in Mathematics. He thereafter attended the University of Miami School Of Law and graduated with a Doctorate in Juris Prudence in 1975.
Mr. Spatz has been recognized in Super Lawyers since 2007 as well as Florida Legal Elite. He has an AVVO rating of “Superb” and a preeminent AV rating with Martindale and Hubbell.
